Hello there readers! Isn't it funny that it's easier to write about absolutely anything other than yourself. It's like interviewing— the question that I feel I need to prepare for the most is, "So tell me a little bit about yourself". Thankfully I am a better writer than speaker and can avoid a full body sweat when an introduction about myself needs to be made.

With that being said, welcome to my blog! A place where I will be reviewing and giving subjective opinions of films! I mention this frequently in my posts but I am not an expert on film nor am I educated in the arts in any way. This is why I often state my opinions are very subjective. However, I love movies and that's really all I need in order to move forward with this passion project. I grew up watching television and movies because I lived in an era before streaming and social media (*sarcastic gasp*). As I aged and my brain started formulating mature opinions about the entertainment I was consuming, it became normal for my family and I to leave a movie theater and engage in a lengthy discussion about our thoughts of the movie we had just seen. I never realized how much that meant to me until I moved out and started living with a person who doesn't care about movies and has no interest in discussing them.

Have you ever sat next to someone at a movie, particularly a loved one; maybe a significant other, who didn't grow up watching movies or TV, and something huge happens on screen. Lets imagine it was a Marvel movie and a massive cameo graces your eyeballs, you can feel the blood rushing to your face because your heart is pounding so hard from the excitement, that can barely be contained so you look over to your partner ready to hold hands and happy dance in your seat to bond over your excitement when they hit you with "Who is that?". It stands as one of the greatest disappointments one can suffer in this life but we will prevail!

Thus, I have created For the Love of Reviews for myself and for all those who suffer the same disappointment that I do. A centralized place for myself to offload my opinions. For now my intention is to write specifically about film, any and all. I am also an avid television watcher but will forgo writing reviews about them for now. I don't typically watch TV series more than once, unless it's a comfort show. For example, Breaking Bad is one of the best shows I've ever consumed but to sum up 62 episodes for a show I watched years ago is challenging. Who knows though—I am open to anything and will let this project take on a life of its own.

So Welcome to all those who join me on this journey, you can call me Flor! I am excited to get started on this project and look forward to all the movies I can now justify going to watch.
